Thick fog has been covering southern England for the last few days, causing in BBC-speak, “travel chaos” and “Christmas misery” for folks trying to get around, especially those flying to, from and via Heathrow Airport.
The photo above shows the fog at about midday on Friday on the canal in Oxford, taken on the way to the train station. You can compare it with one taken on 17 December 2005. Luckily for us, the train journey from Oxford to Dundee was relatively painless…packed but bearable.
I’m now fed, watered and connected to Kate’s parents’ network. Time for a few days of Christmas cheer in Dundee, which should be good as always.
